Dylan passed the Ghost Valley Master's test and was about to take up his post, but his master said he had too much of a killer instinct and needed to leave the valley to train for a few days to obtain the three Soul-Gathering Pearls of Three Lifetimes. His master, who had divined the future, calculated that he had three unresolved marital ties and advised him to follow the rules strictly during his trial in the human world, not to reveal his identity, and left him three brocade pouches for this arduous mission.
